I.  What You Focus on is What you Get (let's focus you on what you want - starting with your work or business first!)

Take a couple of minutes, right now, to discover your focus from the inside out. Tap into your wise feminine intuition. We recommend that you first breathe 3 times in and out. Then ask yourself the first question, then the next and the next. Pay attention to what comes into your mind, even if it sounds crazy, and write...let yourself write... or speak to a good friend.

  • What will make your heart sing? What might ignite your passion and give your business or work a sense of momentum?

  • What do you most want for yourself that would make you feel completely supported in reaching new levels of business or work success?
  • What is your deepest desire concerning your business or work? What results matter more than anything to you to accomplish?
  • What is one small step you will take this week to move a tiny bit forward toward these desires? When will you take this step? Which day?

"The beginning the edge the moment a change arrives stillness is the way to catch it to be there at that very moment but how often is stillness with us?  Are we still?" ~ On the Wind, Mary Oliver

II. Gain confidence with these Sure-Fire Self Centering Questions

Ok, you are feeling off-balance, drained or uncertain. What options are there other than eating chocolate? Take a breath, lower your shoulders back down, and ask yourself one of these questions.

Do you journal, meditate or reflect as you walk or ride your bike or take a run? These questions will open your mind and heart to you – your simple wisdom, natural magnificence and your endless possibilities.

Give yourself a few minutes of quiet. One busy mom we know takes them in the car and chooses a question for reflection when she’s waiting for the kids to get out of a class. A senior level manager writes one/week in her calendar book.

The questions work, if you use them. Ask yourself frequently or schedule a special time to focus on just you. Choose one to ask yourself as you go to sleep, then write first thing in the morning and see what arises.

Use these questions for your own sure-fire re-centering!

A. Living with uncertainty?

Do you find yourself in a complicated or confusing situation?

Centering in yourself first is the way to build your confidence. Here are a few questions to use before you start that tricky conversation or if you are feeling unsure.

Ask yourself:

  • Right now, what do I know to be true?

  • Right now, what am I curious about? What questions do I have? (be careful not to blame with a question like - How could you have done that to me!! – instead – I wonder why he did that?)

  • What is the bigger context that this moment sits within? What are the circumstances or events that formed the situation where I now exist or that caused things to take place?

  • When was a time when I felt centered, strong and in-balance this week? How did that feel? Where was this located in my body? How can I grow this feeling now?

  • How can I reward myself today in a healthy and pleasurable way?
