As a Business Woman, does your confidence ever hit a "wobble"?
Our What to Do When Your Confidence Wobbles teleclass last Wednesday left me inspired and ready for the next one in January. We were a small but mighty group of professional business women and entrepeneurs. The women asked some great questions!
· What do I do when I have confidence and talent but I still get stuck?
· How do I get rid of my self-judgments that bring me down when I’m just getting going?
· How do I figure out what caused my confidence to wobble when I don’t know?
In Fay’s interview with Lynne Twist this past summer, Lynne gave us a great tip to keep our confidence strong. Her Infallible formula for Leadership is: Integrity… “The great wisdom that I have to offer people is that if you are fully present doing what you’re doing when you’re doing it, everything else takes care of itself.” Isn’t that true? When we are in integrity and present – everything works!
Lots of great ideas surfaced - a couple of highlights to me: Debra had a great line to keep in mind! “When I know that I have a contribution to make – my confidence grows!”
And Loma told us to “eat the frog first!” Ok. What does that mean? Well the frog is whatever you are procrastinating about instead of doing. In the morning, when you start work, pick that priority and do it first. Then you have the energy freed up for everything else.
Such wise women!
In the SOAR! Facebook thread under Me Ra Koh you are all expressing your courage and confidence - as well as the wobbles! I loved Michelle's question about "can I do this and still be a mom...have a life?" It will take a lot! And, you can do it in a wise feminine way so that it's both Grace AND Grit! We'll talk more throughout the year!
